NEVA, Natera’s Educational Virtual Assistant, provides interactive results delivery and education for Panorama™ NIPT, Horizon™ Carrier Screening and Empower™ Hereditary Cancer Test. NEVA can also streamline family history intake prior to testing with Empower™ by guiding patients through health history questions.
Here’s how NEVA streamlines family history intake prior to hereditary cancer testing
1. Your practice invites your patient to interact with NEVA prior to their appointment.
Invitations can be sent from NateraConnect or your practice’s existing patient communications.
2. Patients are guided through questions about their family history of cancer.
They will receive an initial risk assessment and view an educational video about Empower.
3. You are ready to discuss testing with appropriate patients at their appointment.
You can review risk assessment details and access pre-populated test requisitions all within NateraConnect.
Here’s how NEVA provides interactive results delivery and education after testing
1. Once ready, test results are released.
Clinicians can access results on NateraConnect or EMR. Patients can access results on the patient portal.
2. Patients receive an email or text reminder to access their results.
NEVA will review results and offer the option to schedule a genetic information session with a Natera board-certified genetic counselor.
3. Once NEVA is completed, you can view the NEVA session transcript on NateraConnect.
NEVA session transcripts can be downloaded by patients and clinicians.
